Madre de Água’s restaurant was born with a concept of traditional cuisine based on the flavors of the region that are kept since its grand opening. The menu includes various specialties, the most popular being the roasted lamb on a shale dish, the lamb stew with root vegetable and sautéed cabbage and the grilled loaf of veal.
The Serra da Estrela’s francesinha, made with the regions lamb and smoked ham, is also an innovation that stands out. The dishes come to the table with an exquisite presentation. The menu also includes vegetarian dishes, for those who follow this type of diet or simply want a lighter meal.
The use of produce from the best meat and sausage producers of the region, as well as the use of fresh produce harvested in the Madre de Água orchards and organic vegetable garden ensure delicious meals. Complementary, the olive oil, cheese and wine, also produced in the property. At breakfast, it is mandatory to taste the irresistible homemade yoghurts, natural or with fruit from the farm, it’s another of our finest products.
