It is a cured cheese, from semi-hard to extraneous, slightly brittle, unctuous, orange / brownish color, with few or no eyes, obtained by prolonged maturation of the Serra da Estrela Cheese.
Origin: Protected Designation of Origin product, 100% Portugal.
Ingredients: Raw sheep’s milk, sea salt and thistle flower.
Type of Cure: Minimum curing period of 120 days, from semi-hard to hard paste.
